Writing Feedback Example
Before The author uses good imagery in this part of the poem to show emotion and make the reader feel something about the character's sadness.
After Through the extended metaphor of a "wilting garden," the poet conveys the character's grief as a slow, natural process rather than a single dramatic moment.
By A-Level, the issue usually isn't grammar but argument precision. Feedback pushes students to back every claim with specific textual evidence instead of describing effects in general terms.
Curriculum
- A-Level English Language: the study of language itself — linguistics, grammar, language acquisition, and how social and historical change shapes language
